High Museum of Art, Atlanta, Georgia,
June 14, 2014–January 18, 2015

The opening reception on June 19 was the first big event the High sponsored. It featured a wonderful illustrated talk by Chris Johnson, professor of photography at the California College of Art in Oakland, CA. As mentee, colleague, and friend during the last few years of Wynn's life, Chris told the moving story of their meeting in 1973 and the profound, transformative ways in which Wynn and his legacy have influenced Chris's life. The talk was followed by a wine reception in the Wynn Bullock: Revelations exhibition galleries.

On October 10, 2014, the High sponsored a second special event titled Conversation: Bullock Family Ties. Wynn's daughters Barbara Bullock-Wilson and Lynne Harrington-Bullock were joined by curator Brett Abbott for an intimate look at Wynn's photography and family life. (The three are pictured in the photo below.) Following the program, exhibition galleries were again open for after-hours viewing.
